Kenny Campbell The track I'll play most from this release is the Boris Noiz remix of Thrush Strokes, but Brain, Eye's Cock and Balls is the standout. The best compliment I can pay this is if someone told me this was a Bloody Fist track I'd believe them. The C Mantle remix of Thrush Strokes is also pretty special, in an angry, speedcore kinda way Favorite track: Brain, Eyes, Cock and Balls.

about

Acre welcomes back Davies (aka Savier & one half of techno duo Savagen) under his Raw Village Hall alias with our hardest release yet. Nothing But Mediocrity At The Shows takes us straight into uncompromising breakcore territory, with three stripped back yet muscular tracks that channel the classic jungle-infused breakcore of countless darkened, grimey warehouse parties. While combining elements of distorted noize and screeching drones - littered with shards of distorted vocals - the filthy bass lines, barrage of gabber kicks and rolling amens keep us firmly on the dancefloor. Boris Noiz, of Ontal fame, changes tack with his remix of Thrush Strokes, taking us into tense technoid territory with a bleak 4/4 workout, permeated by tortured vocals, a thundering bass and an amen-encrusted crescendo. C Mantle on the other hand, remixing the same track, finishes the EP off with a brutal yet anthemic and strangely catchy old school gabber take.
