Utilising elements of harsh techno, breakcore, glitch, noise and drone Nmesme has honed his unique sound over many years, several releases and various live p.a.s into something really quite special: experimental, varied, beguiling and always inventive. In 2018, as part of ongoing collaborations with Map 71, Nmesme - during an 80 minute extended performance in a black, strobe-lit cube in Sheffield - set the acapella of Map 71's track Red Mass against a stack of spluttering pulses and electronic shrapnel. This became the backbone of the E.P. with the addition of reworks of 'CDM' and 'Monoprint'. The release demonstrates a re-imagining of MAP 71's shadowy narrative atmosphere through Nmesme's intense and fragmented world, delineated here via blackened rhythmic noise.
